I've decided to add one more book to the Super Stupendous Halloween Spooktacular book giveaway. Woohoo! So, in addition to The Shifter, The Hollow, and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, (and awesome office supplies) the lucky winner will receive...
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
I loved this book. You can read my semi-review here. If you haven't entered, there's still time. Contest ends Oct. 31st at midnight PST.
And in good Halloweeny contest spirit, Tere Kirkland has submitted a photo of herself and all her minions and earned herself TEN additional entries. She's the cute blue FEMA fairy with the fabulous red wig. Thanks, Tere!
Now for HQTP3(Part 1 and Part 2)—There are certain candies you can only find at Halloween time. I love mallow pumpkins (correction: these are actually called mellowcreme pumpkins) and candy corn. My husband is always on the lookout for Mary Janes, and he'll buy however many bags they have if he finds them. We have to get stocked up for the year. ;)
So, what's your favorite Halloween candy?
I'm a total Kit Kat girl. I can seriously eat 10 of the snack sized ones in a single sitting. It's sick and wrong.
ReplyDeleteAlmond Joy-- I love that coconut. I've been meaning to pick up THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH, I keep hearing good things about it.
ReplyDeleteinteresting title -- the forest of hands and teeth. intriguing.
ReplyDeleteand candy? anything, really. my kids have to hid their stash from me ;)
I think that was a Jagermeister night. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love those big candy pumpkins that are just like candy corn. Delicious!!
And I am officially going to be a zombie at Voodoo festival this Saturday. Maybe that super fast one from The Forest of Hands and Teeth.
Peanut M&M's and Reeses (sp?) lol. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the candy corn! I also love the fun-sized Snickers bars and kit kat bars. That book has a very strange and interesting title.
ReplyDeleteI've passed an award on to you at my blog, check it out when you can :)
I love candy corn. I just bought some yesterday. And so the season of weight gain begins. :)
ReplyDeleteI love candy corn, too, and just yesterday discovered a candy corn Hershey's kiss! It's fabuloso.
ReplyDeleteTere, you are too cute for words!! :) Love the wig!
ReplyDeleteOoh, great question, Abby. I'm a reeses, peanut M&M, and sixlets lover! My husband is all about the frozen snickers bars, too, which are a close second.
Dubble bubble. Of course, I buy the 3-pounder at Costco on a regular basis, so I'm not sure that counts as "Halloween" candy. Does it?
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes! I LOVED TFOHAT!!
LiLa: Ooo. Kit Kats are good. I always steal those out of my kids candy.
ReplyDeleteNatalie: It's a good one. If you like post-apocolyptic zombies, you should check it out.
Tess: I'm always stealing my kids candy too. :)
Tere: Mallow pumpkins. Those are the best. Though I'm always sick after eating them. They're sooo sugary. I want to see those zombie pics. :)
T.Anne: Peanut M&Ms are delicious. :)
Julie: Cool! I'll check it out. Thank you!
Susan: I love that! So true!
MG: Candy corn hershey kisses? I'll have to look into that. :)
Becca: I haven't had Sixlets in forever! I love those!
Elana: Oh, that makes my teeth hurt just thinking about it. My husband loves that stuff too, but I can't chew it.
Anything chocolate! I love Kit Kats, Snickers, Hershey Kisses...they're all good!
ReplyDeleteTHE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH is on my to be read list! After I post, I'm checking into that contest. :)
Dawn: Chocolate is always good. :)
ReplyDeleteTere: Okay, I was wrong. Those aren't mallow pumpkins, they're mellowcreme pumpkins. Either way, delicious. :)
